As a Junior Accountant your primary responsibility will be to support the mid-level accounting management to ensure that the daily tasks are up-to-date, updating general ledgers, documentation keeping, supporting reconciliations (including banks, accounts payable and accounts receivable).

What you'll be doing:

• General Ledger Accounting Support:

- Integrate AP Invoices, confirming that they are according to the budget expectations and accounting policies;

- Support Bank Posting and Reconciliation;

- Support Revenue Accounting;

- Support Balance Sheet Reconciliations

- Review if all AP documents booked in Portugal are saved in physical folders

- Responsible for keeping all the statutory documentation is saved physically and virtually;

• Documentation Keeping:

- Document the accounting team processes

• Accounts Payable:

- Identify discrepancies and work with AP to solve them

• Accounts Receivable:

- Aging analysis;

- Support reconciliation of open items with the operations team

• Analytics:

- Supports getting information to build ad-hoc reports

What you need to have:

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field;
• Fluent in English (written & spoken).

• Excellent attention to detail;
• Problem-solving mindset and resilience to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
