Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

As a Product Designer at Workleap, you will play a key role in bringing new value to our customers through Workleap LMS, our Learning Management System. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Product. In your role, you will seek strategic product outcomes by deeply collaborating with your peers in Engineering, Product Management and Data. You will work to understand our customers (through methods like continuous discovery, and qualitative and quantitative data points) and deliver real value to existing and new markets.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to the development of the overall product vision by applying your strategic decisions across the product design.
• Lead and participate in a continuous discovery process (we adopt a continuous discovery approach).
• Map out user flows and create journey maps to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Monitor impacts of changes in design to improve user flows and time-to-value.
• Translate your customer’s insights into wireframes and prototypes, using an iterative design approach.
• Continuously ship measurable value to our customers by partnering with Engineering, Product Management and Data.
• Be unapologetic about delivering world-class user experiences, crafting simple solutions to big problems.
• Continuously develop and act as a subject matter expert for Engineering, Customer Success, Sales & Marketing.

A typical week?

A mix of user research, design work, and collaboration. Workleap is a customer-centric organization, and the Product Designer is one of the key roles in nurturing this culture. Most weeks start with team meetings to align on priorities, collaborate with the Product Manager to conduct customer interviews, usability tests to gather feedback and analyze user data to evaluate design impacts. The Product Designer creates and iterates on wireframes and prototypes, works closely with developers to ensure design feasibility, and presents concepts to stakeholders for feedback. Regular design feedback sessions amongst peers foster continuous improvement while staying updated on industry trends ensures their skills main sharp.

What does your future team look like?

Workleap LMS is relatively small in comparison to most of the other products under the Workleap umbrella. This has the upside of having more weight in every decision that's being made. You will work closely with the Director of Product and the Product Manager to align on the best problems to solve and be accountable for crafting solutions that will enable our customers to get value in record time. We work as a team, which implies that we care enough about one another to provide honest feedback. As the product grows, you will be offered to take on more ownership on key components or JTBD covered by Workleap LMS, and act as a product and customer expert amongst your peers.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

Our team is hungry to create more value to our customers. Our roadmap is filled with simple solutions looking to solve big problems and where design will play a critical role in the impact they can have. The Product Designer will be directly involved in revamping key interfaces of Workleap LMS, improving data visualization and experimenting with new concepts we are looking to introduce in the product.
