Head of Operations / Software Development

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

The Head of Operations will lead the diverse and talented team of Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Designers, and DevOps professionals. You will play a key role in streamlining operations, enhancing service delivery capabilities, and improving client satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Team Management: Lead and manage a remote team of Developers, Designers, and DevOps professionals, ensuring productivity, collaboration, and high-quality output.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, optimizing processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Project Management: Ensure timely and successful delivery of projects by managing resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
• Strategic Planning: Work with the executive team to develop and implement strategies for growth, scalability, and long-term success.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and support on technical projects, leveraging your strong technical background to assist in problem-solving and innovation.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication channels with the remote team and HQ, ensuring alignment and understanding of goals and tasks.
• Representation: Act as a representative of the company, maintaining a professional and positive image in all interactions with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Travel: Occasionally travel to our headquarters in The Netherlands for meetings, planning sessions, and team-building activities.
• Recruitment: Overseeing recruitment to build and maintain a high-performing team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of managerial experience preferably within a software development or technology company.
• Strong technical expertise in software development. Someone who worked as a Developer in the past.
• If none, strong project management skills (software development) are required. (It's important to emphasize that for this role, there won't be any coding involved. Instead, the focus will be on project management, strategic planning and team management.)
• Exceptional project management abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information and ideas to diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Confident and proactive leader with the ability to inspire and motivate a remote team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to The Netherlands and adapt to different time zones as required.

Advantageous but not required:

• Knowledge of Blockchain, FinTech, and custom software solutions is highly desirable.

Job type: Permanent

Working hours: 12pm to 8pm C_an be flexible as long as there is an overlap with Netherlands time, CEST (6 hours behind PH)._
