Senior DevOps Engineer

The FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk solution helps firms quickly enter new markets and support new strategies. We deliver real-time controls for trading, order management, profit & loss and position keeping with risk management, all on one platform for both sell-side and buy-side.

About the role
As a DevOps/CI Engineer you will be instrumental in evolving and maintaining our build, test, and deployment infrastructure. We have a highly automated pipeline for build and test, which is currently running in our self-hosted on-premise infrastructure. We are underway with our move to a cloud-based build and test infrastructure and are looking for your help with designing and implementing this exciting journey.

Our products are built in C++ and Python and run on Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) using MSSQL or MySQL databases.

For build and test automation we are currently using CMake, QuickBuild, Buildbot, GoogleTest, Robot and Python, and are exploring GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, Terraform, and Harness as part of our CI strategy.

You will be working closely together with other DevOps/CI Engineers and our development teams.

As a senior DevOps/CI engineer with experience in build and test automation, you are excited about leveraging tooling to drive automation, and have a passion for infrastructure as code.

Position requirements

We expect you to have the following:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/CI

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to understand and debug complex systems.

• Ability to work in an international, fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality software in a timely manner.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in Python

• Experience with tools like Jira, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Artifactory

• Experience with automated testing, preferably GoogleTest and Robot

• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes or equivalent

• Experience with public cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

• Fluent in English
