Senior Implementation Engineer

As part of a growing team, the Senior Implementation Engineer will be a key contributor to our customers’ success. Tricentis’ largest customers will look towards the Senior Implementation Engineer for advice to ensure that our software is installed properly and optimized to fit into their existing infrastructure.

Additionally, as this is a predominantly customer facing role, the Senior Implementation Engineer should be willing to escalate potential roadblocks to Senior Management as needed and ensure critical tasks are documented appropriately.

What you’ll do:

• Install and configure Tricentis testing tools in customer environments, ensuring proper functionality and integration
• Advise customers on best practices for application deployment, and site reliability engineering
• Communicate with internal and external customers to provide updates, instructions, technical specifications and environmental requirements required for successful application deployment
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to application deployment, configuration, and environment, working with customers, support and engineering to resolve problems

Who you are:

Required Skills:

• 8+ years' experience in Systems Engineering, Implementation Engineering, System Administration or Site Reliability Engineering roles
• Expertise with installation, configuration, and integration of enterprise applications on Windows platforms of varying system and security complexity
• Strong experience in Windows system administration; such as user administration, TLS certificate management, local networking, performance analysis
• Experience with MSSQL relational database engine administration and simple SQL querying
• Excellent troubleshooting ability, experience with triage and identifying complex environmental and technical issues related to customer deployments
• Working knowledge within private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including compute resource creation, networking management, basic security concepts
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Network Infrastructures, Enterprise Firewall Configuration, Application Load Balancing, OS Firewall configuration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills while working with technical resources within customer organizations

Desired Skills:

• Experience with relational database engine administration (OracleDB, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Experience with basic Linux system administration
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes-based platforms, and container-based platforms
• Familiarity with load balancing, clustering, and high-availability systems
• Working knowledge of user authentication methods (Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, OAuth, SAML)
• Working knowledge of basic scripting languages (Powershell, Bash)
• Bilingual – English and Mandarin
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment successfully
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work within a global organization across multiple time zones and geographical regions
