Senior Database Administrator

We are currently looking for a Senior Database Administrator to become a valuable addition to our dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

-Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.

-Monitor and optimize database performance and capacity.

-Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for SQL Server instances.

-Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance.

-Implement best practices for indexing, query optimization, and resource management.

-Conduct regular performance reviews and adjustments.

-Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.

-Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schemas, tables, and stored procedures.

-Implement and manage database security policies and procedures.

-Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations.

-Monitor and manage database access and permissions.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

-Minimum 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on SQL Server.

-Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

-Strong experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.

-Extensive knowledge of backup and recovery processes and disaster recovery planning.

-Solid understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.

-Proficiency with cloud-based database solutions.

-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Great soft skills, with emphasis in communication and interpersonal skills.

-English C1 or above is mandatory.

Good to have:

-Certification in SQL Server is a plus.

-Familiarity with database automation tools and scripts.

-Familiarity with university systems and higher education environment.
