The job of an academic is challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them, and moulding their characters. This job aims to develop students (youths and adult learners) in the domain of Software Application development. There will be opportunities to develop curriculum and undertake administrative work related to teaching and school/institutional strategic initiatives.

The appointee will lead, manage and support the school’s initiatives i in the area of software development and deployment.
This job also aims to develop youths and adult learners in the IT domain Software Application development. There will be opportunities to develop curriculum and undertake administrative work related to teaching, student development, outreach and school/institutional strategic initiatives.

Successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills.

The appointee must be competent in the following domain areas:

• Front-End Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Back-End Web Development (NodeJS, ExpressJS)
• Software Engineering Practice (Scrum)
• Cloud Development (AWS)

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:-

• Resident Software Engineer at Project INC@SOC for Diploma in Information Technology and Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics
• Manage the entire project cycle for Project INC clients, which includes assessing project specifications, liaising with SP’s Technology Centres for administrative, legal and billing project matters
• Management and deployment of Software Application Development projects
• Coach students in domain subjects and project work, including NodeJS, AWS, MySQL, React, React Native, etc
• Smooth execution of school outreach and student development events and activities
• Support the School’s strategic initiatives through involvement in committee work and projects such as process improvement and/or digitalisation projects
• Contribute as Competitions Lead for national & international competitions for tertiary students
• Lead IdeaFarm efforts to bring innovation ideas to implementation for the school.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:-

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Full-Stack Web Development
• Passionate about education and possess strong interest in coaching and mentoring youths
• Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team
• Proficient in at least one of the programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python)
• Resourceful and innovative with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant qualifications in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related studies.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
