Position Details

Are you a servant leader with a passion for coaching people in the Business Analysis practice and personal development? Do you thrive in an autonomous cross-functional environment that fosters innovation and creativity?

We are seeking a senior business analyst with excellent coaching abilities to lead the Business Analysis Chapter in our team at Swift, the team responsible for developing enterprise applications that facilitate global business connections to financial networks.

Based in Belgium, you will be working as a member of a dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery - from customer engagements to operations.

By joining the Product Group, you will have the opportunity to create and deliver customer-centric products in an Agile way, build an ecosystem around the Swift platform, and innovate with clients, as part of a collaborative and dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Chapter's craftmanship evolution (developing and steering the Chapter members on the 'how')
  • Foster a collaborative environment where chapter members can freely exchange knowledge and ideas, promoting the growth and improvement of Business Analysis practices throughout the organization.
  • Mentor the members of the chapter on their personal development and growth path, facilitate their performance reviews, and conduct regular performance dialogues
  • Foster a diverse and skilled workforce, continuously improving existing capabilities or developing new ones based on the organization's requirements.
  • Hire and onboard new chapter members
  • Contribute to the organization's strategy and vision, by offering a broad range of ideas regarding requirements, trends, and business needs.
  • Define, analyze, validate and maintain functional requirements
  • Validate proposed solutions to technical and/or business problems in relation to current and future business environment
  • Understand technological trends in own area of responsibility and apply this knowledge to bring solutions to the customers
  • Challenge the status quo, and think out of the box for alternative/most efficient solutions

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about people mentoring, with an inspiring hands-on approach, and keen to help others achieve their potential, to grow and succeed
  • Autonomous, empowered with the ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Strong focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of quality, with outstanding communication abilities.
  • Eager to learn, inquisitive, proactive, and enjoys working collaboratively with others to achieve goals.
  • Capacity to innovate, think out of the box and connect the dots: challenge the status quo, and think out of the box for alternative/most efficient solutions

- Ability to multitask, prioritize and deal with uncertainty - planning and organizing are key

  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and across different departments; proactive, inquisitive, and optimistic attitude.
  • Experience of working in environments involving software engineering
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Experience in modeling (UML) and business process modeling (BPMN) techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with methodologies passionate about driving change (e.g. Design Thinking) will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge in collaborative tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) will be an advantage
  • University degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4-5 years Business Analysis experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years in people management roles
  • Knowledge/Experience in Agile processes will be an advantage
