We are the FIS Embedded Finance team, and our mission is to enable developers across all verticals to imagine, create and monetize financial products to profoundly transform the way the entire financial industry consumes services. We are looking for an Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer to help us build a brand-new financial technology platform for the future. Note: We have a hybrid work environment in our Seattle/Bellevue office unless the role or business dictates otherwise.

What you will be doing:

• Lead initiatives to improve monitoring, stability, and security of Atelio’s infrastructure
• Build shared tools, libraries, and resources used across product engineering teams
• Build internal tools to reduce toil in day-to-day operational tasks and commitments
• Contribute to maintaining Atelio’s technical compliance commitments
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize projects and communicate changes to broader audiences
• Estimate project timelines, ensuring that projects you own stay on track and escalating as needed
• Mentor junior engineers and help hire new talent in order to build a stronger team

What you will need:

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in Platform, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Experience leading DevOps projects while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience working with and managing Kubernetes-based infrastructure (Kubernetes, Argo, Helm, etc)
• Experience working with and deploying applications on Kubernetes
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
• Experience building infrastructure on top of major Cloud providers (Bond uses AWS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform
• Experience or interest in FinTech or banking systems

Added bonus if you have:

• Typical qualifications for the role are 7+ years of relevant professional experience or a combination of work experience and advanced education.
• Experience working with service mesh architectures on major Cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience architecting, scaling, and operating cloud-native microservice and event driven architectures
• Experience designing and implementing APIs for third-party developers, including API versioning and/or client SDKs
• Experience with gRPC/Protobuf, Avro, Apache Thrift, and/or OpenAPI tooling

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $136,190.00 - $228,790.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
