Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Automation Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our XDR (Extended Detection and Response) team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining automation frameworks and tools to enhance our security operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and ensure efficient and effective security threat detection and response.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and frameworks to streamline security operations within the XDR environment.
  • Work with various programming languages and tools to build scalable and reusable automation solutions that support our security initiatives.
  • Integrate automation solutions with existing security tools and platforms to enhance their capabilities.
  • Ensure seamless deployment and execution of automation processes in our security infrastructure, focusing on reliability and performance.
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of automated processes, identifying and resolving any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure automation tools are up-to-date and aligned with current security needs and technologies.
  • Collaborate with the security operations team, threat analysts, and other stakeholders to identify areas where automation can improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on automation tools and processes to team members and other departments.

What you will bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a security or XDR context.
  • Proven experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of automation frameworks and tools (Selenium/Jmeter/Cypress/Cucumber).
  • Experience with security tools and platforms commonly used in XDR environments, such as SIEM, EDR, or SOAR solutions.
  • Familiarity with API integration and orchestration.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications in automation or security (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, CompTIA Security+).
