Senior Java Developer with Python Skills

We are seeking a talented and disciplined Senior Java Developer to elevate our industry-leading asset management platform. This role offers varied, fast-paced, and challenging work, providing broad exposure to both technology and business aspects. Our goal is to enhance user experience, fulfill business commitments, and continuously modernize and improve platform performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Perform application modifications and enhancements based on business needs.
• Develop clean, high-quality, and reusable codes based on programming standards.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to clearly understand business requirements and expectations.
• Stay abreast with the latest trends in application development techniques and technologies.
• Suggest optimal application development solutions to meet or exceed business objectives.
• Develop best practices to ensure coding efficiency and quality.
• Analyze and resolve coding issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare and maintain coding documentation for reference purposes.
• Prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Complete the assigned development tasks within deadlines.
• Report project status to the Manager on a regular basis.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Java Development.
• Advanced Java and Python knowledge.
• Experience in Java Collections, Spring Framework, and Multi-threading.
• Experience in developing database-driven web services/applications against SQL databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Good understanding of GIT and Agile practices.
• Object Oriented Programming (working concepts and experience)
• Knowledge of Linux and any modern IDE..
• Strong debugging skills and troubleshooting experience in a complex technical setup.
• Curious, willing to learn, and with an independent attitude.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to speak up and ask questions/clarifications when unclear.
• Detail-focused, experience in reviewing technical documentation, diagrams, and plans in order to help meet and/or define requirements.
• Able to communicate technical information verbally in a clear manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good to have experience working on event-based architecture, file processing, NoSQL, and GRPC protobufs.
• Strong Data engineering skills, and experience using language in building data pipelines for applications.
• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
