Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure the application of Best Known Methods in their quality systems through quality system assessments, audits, regular meetings, metrics reviews, and operations reviews.
  • Work together with suppliers, peers, and customers to achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Assess suppliers' production capabilities and quality management.
  • Lead suppliers and NXP team in resolving complex internal or customer-impacting product/process quality issues using quality and problem-solving tools.
  • Engage early in development activities, working with cross-functional product teams and foundries to understand and resolve technical issues, detect and highlight quality risks to core teams and management.
  • Participate or lead SQE/EMQ efforts in supplier selection and qualification.
  • Monitor supplier product quality through data analysis, trends, and capability, providing regular reports to management and business units.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits/visits to monitor and sustain supplier quality systems, ensuring consistent quality in the manufacture of NXP products that meet NXP's requirements and specifications.
  • Responsible for supplier scorecard evaluation, assessing supplier quality systems, performance, and results, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Serve as advocate coordinator to resolve any Customer Corrective Action Requests requiring Supplier Corrective Actions in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and manage process changes within the quality system, assuming full responsibility for foundry supplier process change management and communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering and Science, or Physics.

  • At least 8 years of engineering experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, with preferred experience in process integration.

  • Experience with manufacturing quality systems such as Root Cause analysis and Problem Solving (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC), Statistical Process Control, Cpk, Failure Mode Effects & Analysis, Control Plan, FMEA, DOE, Change Management, Suspect Material Control, and Principles of 5S.

  • Understanding of semiconductor device processing, inspection, testing, and statistical process control.

  • Ability to audit suppliers as a leader to ISO9000, IATF16949, and ANSI 20.20 Quality Standards.

  • Familiarity with data analysis and product/test engineer experience is a plus.

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Auditor, or Black Belt is a plus.

  • Preferred experience in customer communication, supplier management, and team leadership.

  • Ability to work independently, remotely from direct supervisor, and travel occasionally within the region.

  • Serve as the voice of NXP and NXP's customers for all quality concerns in the Foundries.
