Global Operational Purchasing Intern

Role Summary:

The Global Operational Purchaser is responsible for the operational procurement activities, expedite purchase orders, assist in resolving procure to pay problems to ensure the parts/services are available to achieve the production plan.

Job Responsibility:

• Purchase request validation and timely purchase order placement
• Responsible for PO changes, ensure all the changes have the appropriate approval based on the purchasing policies
• Maintain order acknowledgement and delivery confirmation
• Support local procurement teams and the requestors on delivery pull in/push out
• Raise PMD request on behalf of local procurement team, sourcing team and requestor for vendor change activities
• Train the requestor on procurement to pay process, ensure the requestors raise the purchase requests correctly
• Deal with invoice discrepancies, coordinate with receiving team, Account Payable team, requestor and supplier to resolve payment issues
• Build up and maintain good relationship with customers
• Assist requestors, local procurement team, sourcing team and other cross function teams to get reports, analysis, guidance on P2P process ,etc
• Ensure the compliance of all procurement policies, procedures and special instructions
• Monthly analysis on internal controls and risk controls
• New Catalog set up and Catalog maintenance
• Act as LUA to apply Ariba requestor roles and approver roles
• Submit SNC ticket and follow up the issues with IT team
• Participation in Procurement Improvement Initiatives and Company Wide Programs

Job Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economy, Procurement, or related fields

• Excellent observational and problem solving skills

• Attention to detail

• Experience with SAP or Ariba is preferred

• Good PC, interpersonal, effective communication and teamwork skills

• Good and efficient in task and project execution and always eager to find solutions to the issues that are met

• Fluent in English both verbally and written
