Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervisory Role:

  • Oversee the Senior Inventory Clerk, inventory Clerk, stores clerk & admin (NuPay).
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among team members to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Managing couching and mentoring staff members
  • Conducting quarterly one on one’s
  • Conducting yearly goal discussions and contracting
  • Helping staff members to complete any overflow of work as and when necessary

Stock Management (ITS & NuPay) & Inventory Management

  • Ensure correct allocations on Ofbiz, Max store, CMS, and UMS.
  • Manage repairs, including receiving repairs, checking quotes, reporting invoiced amounts to KAMs, and reconciling repaired devices.
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels for ITS & NuPay customers.
  • Manage stock sent to regions and technicians for new installations, replacements, and rollouts.
  • Oversee UTR and MIA devices for ITS & NuPay
  • Replenish equipment in regions and check minimum stock levels.
  • Conduct weekly stock counts.
  • Manage all stock for ITS & NuPay in regions and in the warehouse.
  • Management of all equipment stock will be required, this includes checking the accuracy of weekly stock counts, weekly variance reporting and investigating anomalies on all stock.
  • Managing stock means maintaining or developing optimal forecasting and inventory control models that expose improvements throughout the supply chain.
  • All variances have been fixed and allocated correctly.
  • Ensure that the stock is ordered when minimum stock levels have been reached.
  • Ensure that the correct stock is being ordered and the correct stock has been delivered as per order and delivery note.
  • Following up on all equipment that is meant to come back via courier and equipment sent via courier to merchants.
  • Conducting correct buying and receiving protocols
  • Following up on all equipment sent in for repair. Making sure that the fast-moving equipment is being attended to fist in the repair centre.
  • Ensure that minimum order quantities are adhered to
  • Inventory management within the warehouse with regards to correct packing and storing

Huge Connect SIM Cards (NuPay only) & Consumable ordering

  • Order SIM cards and manage the Huge Connect portal for both NuPay.
  • Investigate high usage on all SIM cards and allocate them to the correct groupings/customers.
  • Order consumables for NuPay and ITS (e.g., boxes, bubble wrap, tape, labels).

Courier Management & Procurement and Documentation

  • Manage devices sent via courier and devices collected via courier for NuPay and ITS.
  • Log queries for NuPay and tickets for ACS/ITS.
  • Create and sign off purchase orders and invoices.
  • Ensure that all terminal inventory ordered via OEMs is received correctly and documentation is submitted to the appropriate individuals.

Internal and external customer queries and questions

  • Assist with internal customer queries or questions that have been sent via email, query logged, or phone call
  • Maintaining good working relationships with suppliers, internal customers and 3rd party service providers for example Huge Connect, JRT & CourierIT

Operations and Process Improvement & Safety and Compliance

  • Monitor warehouse operations and implement process improvements.
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Educational Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Excel level 2 minimum
  • Power BI (advantage)

Professional Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse Management or related field preferred

Years of Experience

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics role
  • 1 to 2 years in team leadership/supervisory role

Other requirements

  • Working knowledge of Altron Fintech internal systems advantageous
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent administrator with strong attention to detail.
  • Technology and system savvy. (Computer literate)
  • Numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst still maintaining high levels of accuracy.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, Minimum level 2 excel skills.
  • Knowledge and experience on Power BI (advantageous)

Working Conditions:

  • Physical demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up parcels and boxes
  • Work environment: Warehouse setting, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Schedule: Full-time position, with potential for overtime as needed
