Design Mechanical Engineer, will assists and supports in the design of routine systems that integrate hardware and software in order to create deliverables for installation.
Assists and supports and in the creation of the bill of materials and appropriate follow-up for approval.
Assists and supports in the creation and follow up of purchase orders for in house/third part materials that project needs. Assists and supports in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement of customer satisfaction that may apply.
Assists and supports on the creation of proper documentation in order to perform tech reviews with leads and customers.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical (HW) Design With guidance from more senior engineers.

1.1Performs basic tasks and functions related to schematic preparation and calculation of mechanical systems design

1.2 Designs and creates mechanical Drawings such as: Layouts, Composites, Safety, Pneumatic, Guarding, Netting,etc.

1.3 Performs Quality Audit, cross audits and revisions to peers deliverables. 2.1 Identifies problems and takes action to solve them when is not advanced or complex.

2.2 Communicates progress status and roadblocks in a properly manner to peers, project leads and direct manager.

3.1 Creates purchase orders following the standards that may be required.

4.1 Seeks advice and guidance on nonroutine or problem areas directly form Standars and from others peers.

5.1 Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.

5.2 Document findings and/or results achieved according dematic standards such as: Best Practices, Standard Work Packages (Procedures Step by Step), New processes, application guidelines and manuals.

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge and/or understanding in:

Applied knowledge of CAD software (AutoCad, SolidWorks, etc.)

Applied Knowledge of Technical drawings (Mechanical and Electrical)

Conceptual knowledge of application of industrial equipment. (mechanical & electrical)

Desirable - Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. (FEA)

Desirable - Use of basic Mechanical and electrical Tools,

Microsoft Office 365 Skills (Word, Excel, PPT. etc)

Action Oriented: Ability to execute with minimum of planning and constantly pursuit for additional opportunities.

Business Accumen: Aware and follow current policies, standards, trainings, trends, technology and information updates related to core execution and organization.

Identify the limits of scope and responsibilities. Above and beyond execution under shadowing/sponsorship of experienced guidelines and leadership.

Experience Desired and Knowledge

0 to 2 years of experience in related field and demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.

Bachelor degree - Preferred in Mechanical Engineering and/or Mechatronics.

Advanced English - Written and Oral

Basic Experience in the engineering work environment (school projects or internships acceptable)
