The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python and R, exceptional ability to handle and analyze large datasets, and deep knowledge in statistics and mathematics. This position will play a crucial role in interpreting complex data and creating predictive models that drive strategic decision-making.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain advanced data analysis models using Python and R.

• Manage and analyze large datasets from various sources.

• Implement and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

• Develop algorithms and techniques to identify behavioral patterns in data.

• Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical solutions.

• Interpret analysis results and present findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

• Use advanced statistical and mathematical methods to solve business problems.

• Participate in process improvement projects through data analysis.

• Present results for management in English and Spanish.

What we are looking for:

• Academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, and engineering.
• Ability to abstract and obtain relevant information through data analysis.
• Experience in identifying and analyzing behavioral patterns in data.
• Experience in data processes and ETL methodologies.
• High level of data abstraction and analysis.
• Proven experience in using Python and R for data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of database management and SQL.
• Perform information extraction algorithms, scrapers, and web crawling to collect data from diverse sources.
• Deep knowledge in applied statistics and mathematics.
• The best candidate will be someone curious, innovative, adaptable, a team player and a leader. Also, someone who knows how to prioritize and see beyond current projects and their future impact, managing several projects at the time.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management.
• English intermediate, advanced is a plus.
