About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager at Envato, you’ll play a crucial role in leading the development of our product capabilities while building our organisation through guiding, coaching, and developing people and teams. Leading a team of engineers, you will set priorities and facilitate active engagement in cross-team collaboration whilst effectively project managing short and long term projects.

You will be joining our Pricing and Payments team, at the heart of our customer account management domain. You will handle subscriptions, promotions, and ensure accurate charges for our flagship product, Elements. Elements is our subscription-based digital asset platform offering a vast library of creative resources to empower designers and creatives to do their best work and to bring their creative ideas to life! Your team will streamline sign-in, sign-up, and subscription processes, directly impacting Envato’s bottom line and driving growth for Elements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Organise workflows, set goals, and hold the team accountable to drive execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute the team’s roadmap.
• Communicate strategy, rationale, and progress both internally and externally.
• Lead mid to large-scale projects, provide visibility on progress, and remove obstacles.
• Ensure continuous delivery of well-tested incremental customer value.
• Operate production systems, ensuring availability, performance, security, and incident management.
• Advocate for the “you build it, you run it” approach, integrating with Envato’s technical ecosystem.
• Demonstrate mature problem-solving with sustainable approaches.
• Foster a positive work culture, promote collaboration, and support team member development.
• Guide and inspire the team, set clear expectations, provide feedback, and ensure a safe working environment.

About you:

• You bring previous experience in people management, team leadership and mentoring experience
• Experience working within payments, subscriptions, billing systems or a similar domain, ideally in a digitally focused environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly self-motivated and adaptable under pressure
• Strong prioritization and execution abilities
• Ability to increase the team’s output while maintaining quality
• Ability to take and give constructive feedback
• Experience empowering teams, fostering continuous improvement and inspiring teams to embrace new ways of working
