A vacancy has arisen in our Optimisation team for a Senior UX Research Executive based from our London or Manchester office.

Purpose of the Role

We are part of one of the world's largest digital-first, end-to-end media agencies, and offer CRO & UX to some of the world's top companies. We are growing our Optimisation & UX department and are looking for people to lead our UX projects.

Our previous clients have included Specsavers, Asda, Dr Martens, Honda, Pets at Home, Natwest, People’s Postcode Lottery, Leonardo’s Hotel Group , and more.

You will be part of a close-knit team of specialists that work together to create customer-focused strategies to improve our clients’ website experiences. Your main role will be to plan and conduct research on our biggest clients, whilst supporting junior researchers with their workload and development.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior UX Research Executive, your focus will be:

  • Leading research projects for our clients, including planning activity and leading a wider team of UX Executives and Assistants to achieve our clients’ objectives
  • Assist the UX Research Manager to collaboratively p lan, design and conduct research projects using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods to gain a true understanding our clients’ products and customers. This could include 1:1 moderated and unmoderated research, polls and surveys, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, eye tracking and card-sorting, amongst others.
  • Providing guidance and training to junior members of the team, ensuring that their works meets the required quality standards
  • Presenting findings from research to the strategy team, or direct to our clients. These findings will heavily influence optimisation strategies, meaning you will get to see the impact of your research.
  • Working with the UX Research Manager to develop our research capabilities and improve our ways of working. This could be through onboarding new tools, providing training or developing new approaches.
  • Working alongside our UX Design team, participating in ideation and sketching sessions to come up with design concepts. Some of our UX Researchers also work within the Design team, creating high-fidelity designs for our clients. This can be accommodated but is not required.
  • Becoming an expert in relevant UX tools & technology.

This is a great opportunity to collaborate with other members of the team including Strategists, Data Analysts, UX Researchers, Designers and Developers. Sharing ideas with other experts provides the best results and enables your professional development in a way not available anywhere else.

We are looking for:

The successful candidate will need to be able to work on multiple clients at the same time so the following skillsets are required:

  • Passionate about customer behaviour, optimising online experiences and an interest in wider digital marketing activity
  • Experience of digital marketing, especially UX or CRO
  • Experience with research methodologies such as polls/surveys, remote research, moderated research, guerrilla research, customer interviews etc.
  • Ability to analyse research and turn findings into insights and trends
  • You must be able to efficiently manage your own workload to provide the best results for multiple clients; proactively picking up tasks, delivering to the desired level and prioritising activity to meet deadlines
  • Desire to continually learn and develop, either through guidance from the senior team, or making the most of the many training opportunities available at Dentsu
  • Ability to work collaboratively with wider team of strategists, designers, developers, researchers and web analysts

Nice to have

We do not expect candidates to have experience in all things digital marketing, UX and CRO. We look for people that have relevant experience and a hunger to learn and develop. If you have experience in any of these disciplines, then this might improve your chances of recruitment:

  • Awareness of UX design principles and ability to create designs using Adobe XD, Figma or alternate tool
  • Good communication skills, having the confidence to support on client calls and present activity in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to create relationships with our client stakeholders
  • Knowledge of website management, either e-commerce trading, content creation or lead generation
  • Experience of using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Capability to analyse data and uncover insights and trends
