Position: Head of Technical Operations

Job Location: 1425 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30318

Duties: Lead a team that delivers faultless services to our customers; identifying areas to improve day to day operations and efficiencies through product and technology improvements. Provide leadership and development to the team of Leads and Coordinators on the ground, ensuring training is effective, and their needs are met. Responsible for ensuring successful technical service delivery across all services delivered within Hawk-Eye North America Team. Liaise with the Product Delivery Team to ensure that all operational product feedback has been properly collated and communicated. Working alongside the Product Delivery Team - ensure the Live Operational team are fully trained on how to use our products Utilize the team to conduct thorough data investigation and regular audits of our operational output. Manage the team’s workload, whilst prioritizing issues across all sports. Utilize the Tech team and the Product Delivery team to ensure that all software rollouts are conducted flawlessly with issues fed back through the proper channels. Identify opportunities to deliver efficiencies and improvements in day-to-day operations related to the product and how our operators interact with it Ensure clear communication lines across the Live, Service and Tech Operations Teams, including the participation of regular team meetings with other Managers and the wider team. Keeping the long term vision in mind when iteratively updating/refreshing and building out processes that pinpoint and improve department procedures. E.g. Black Box Reviews. Leading by example embodying the Hawk-Eye values and ensuring they remain central to decision making. Understanding, involvement and contribution towards budgeting and reviewing fiscal year finance sheets.

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Sports Technology, Sports Management or a related field. Employer will accept 2 years of experience in Sports Technology or related experience as meeting the Bachelor’s degree requirement.

Minimum experience required: 4 years of experience in Sports Technology or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Applying Sport specific knowledge for the NFL, NHL, and MLS in developing and supporting technology solutions; Network design and troubleshooting; Windows Server hardware, build and troubleshooting; Project Accounting; Resource management, including career goal setting and planning; Developing and supporting proprietary Sports officiating technology; Installing and operating technical services at live events; Talent Acquisition and serving as a hiring manager; Client Management including contractual Discussions and Invoicing of Costs; Broadcast Technology and understanding of signal flow; and End to end customer experience integration and dependencies. The anticipated base pay for this position is $173,430.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
