Senior Product Design Manager

As a Senior Manager of Design, you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience and design strategy for our Go1, Blinkist and CoorpAcademy products. You'll lead a team of 8 product designers embedded within cross-functional product teams across EMEA and APAC time zones. Your team is part of a broader design org that includes Brand (and Motion) Design Research & Insights. Your expertise and leadership will enable the creation of design solutions that reflect our product strategy, enhance the learning journey, and maintain consistency for our users across all touch points.

Here’s a taste of what you'll be doing:

• Design Influence – Advocate for Design’s strategic contribution and impact by building strong relationships with peers and leadership.
• Quality & Innovation - Set a high bar for design quality, supporting teams in consistently delivering designs that align with strategy and product vision. Advocate with leadership on the importance of design to give designers the runway to achieve this.
• Inspire and Teach - Contribute to strategic design discussions, providing insights and recommendations based on design trends, user feedback, and industry best practices. Work with designers to set growth goals and support them in achieving the
• Foster Collaboration - Ensure close collaboration between designers (mutual feedback, co-design, cross-team alignment) for better consistency and alignment and beyond, including Product Management and Engineering. Resolve tension and conflict when they arise.
• Strategic Initiatives - Depending on an initiative, provide hands-on experience or set the vision and delegate tasks to other designers. Enable designers to own their product domains and proactively work ahead.
• Challenge Status Quo - Encourage designers to think outside of the Design System and existing components, especially when they work on fresh initiatives
• Getting Stuff Done - Unlock, guide, and inspire your direct reports in any possible way. Make sure they don’t exceed their capacity and have all the tools and information to move forward.

You will have:

• Extensive hands-on design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful projects, experience with complex B2B SaaS products is a big plus.
• Proven track record of design leadership in fast-paced, digital product development environments, ideally including remote settings.
• Experience leading and managing designers, providing mentorship and guidance in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated design chops you can dust off from time to time and work in the file with your designers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions to cross-functional teams.
• A passion for continuous learning, staying updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies.
