Shotgun’s app has become the go-to destination for people to discover events, organisers and keep up with beloved artists. By making it easy to find relevant events near you, purchase and resell tickets, sharing great experiences with friends becomes an every weekend experience.

Shotgun’s platform connects millions of fans to ten of thousands of creators and artists, we sold 10M+ tickets last year alone. Our vision is to help people have amazing experiences in the real world, where social lives are organized. And we believe this is just the beginning for Shotgun.

🚀 MISSION

We are looking for a Product Manager (PM) to lead the 3rd Product Squad we’re currently building (composed of 3 developers, 1 product analyst, and 1 product designer).

We love to create and build products, we share ownership among the team, and we own from inception to shipping and monitoring of the impact.

We’re looking for a talented, optimistic and humane individual, who can set the bar high but doesn’t take themselves too seriously

Product Management at Shotgun

  • ✅ We value user empathy: We speak to organizers every week to learn about their experiences with Shotgun, and we modify the product to fit their needs.
  • ✅ We make data-informed decisions: We dig deep into our data to understand how our product is used and how to improve it.
  • ✅ We expect PM to challenge, experiment, build, fail, iterate, succeed (and then do it again).
  • ⚠️ We work remotely within the product team. This comes with benefits, but also constraints & effort: travels to Paris or Marseille offices to work with stakeholders at least once a month, proper use of tools, top-level written communications, etc.
  • ❌ We do not do sprints, scrum or kanban. We do not expect PM to be baby-sitting developers, as we do not expect designers to just make pretty UI.
  • ❌ We don’t blame others or find excuses when goals are not achieved. We stay humble and then get back to work.

🧱 Our Products

🔨WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Align product initiatives with company strategy: Prioritisation is key, from the biggest roadmap projects to the smallest bug fixes.
  • Get to know our users and our market: Conduct a LOT of user interviews with users, event organizers & artists all over the world and never-ending competitive benchmarks.
  • Dig into data: Understand how the product is being used, make data-informed decisions, and monitor the impact of your team’s work.
  • Build and market our products: You’ll need to become an expert in specifications, design, QA, feature release, and product marketing.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders: You won’t be able to do your job without support, ops, sales, marketing, account managers…
  • Animate a squad: empowered teams get shit done. Your role is, first and foremost, to empower your team.

  • You have an analytical & empathic mindset
  • You have a sense of ownership and responsibility
  • You have spent a meaningful time (4+ years) as a PM, with experience of working across tech and business teams
  • You have a professional experience in the live music/entertainment industry
  • You are able to translate complex ideas simply and clearly in written and verbal formats

(English & French fluency are required)
