Senior Software Developer

Job Summary:

As a Senior Developer on the Heart IT team in R&D, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Intelerad's cardiology products as well as assisting other team members in achieving these goals.

This role can be done remotely within India.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, develop, test, document and maintain web-based applications with backend components
• Refine the software to continuously improve its performance
• Mentor other developers and QA to achieve successful deliverables
• Develop a deep understanding of our client’s needs
• Tackle issues that may arise across the full software stack
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to design better solutions
• Balance deadlines, functionality, and quality
• Ensure that Intelerad’s Software Development processes are being followed
• Maintain familiarity with the technology, users, system interfaces, and standards that are relevant to your product group, and ensure that your team is informed of these details
• Provide assistance to technical support and other teams, occasionally including remote production support tasks, testing
• Become familiar with medical technology standards such as DICOM and HL7
• Be committed to taking initiative in learning how to maintain a large, diverse codebase
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

Required Experience/Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills - fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent skills and practical industry experience
• Extensive experience programming in JavaScript and familiar with UI technologies- JS frameworks, HTML/CSS
• Ability to adapt to working with a wide array of technologies and languages
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem solving & analytical ability
• Displays high attention to problem description, detail, and impact while being commercially minded- delivery in accordance with timelines

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of DICOM, HL7 and medical imaging / image processing, ultrasound, cardiology
• Good experience with relational database design, SQL and design patterns
• RedHat Linux, Perl, BitBucket, Git
