To manage and drive the CSC operations business with a focus area on excellence in operations and project management. The individual will ensure the delivery of commercial, administrative and world class operational support and competence. This is a regional role with a focus on Nigeria and wider West Africa.

  • Management of West Africa-based client engagement and associated business development
  • Management of Embedded Consultant Services and client requirements across West Africa on a day-to-day basis
  • Regularly work directly with clients as a senior subject matter expert
  • Collaborate with the wider Operations Management team in the management of all engagement’s tasks throughout Europe, Middle East & Africa as required
  • Identify, analyse, and assess risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies for our clients
  • Delivering high quality work in response to identified needs of existing and new clients. Maintaining and expanding business relationships through collaboration with clients
  • Deliver and manage protective services engagements in high risk locations
  • Ensure all projects are being delivered on time and in budget
  • Identify and implement improvement to operations management processes and implementation
  • Manage the link between Control Risks service lines and embedded consultants to ensure effective lines of communication
  • Ensure that consultants are effectively supported by Control Risks
  • Responsible for the operational management of consultants in accordance with client requirements, Control Risks policies and appropriate international standards
  • Commercial management of embedded consultancy engagements, including scoping and writing high quality proposals
  • Responsible for the identification and selection of third-party suppliers and vendors. Leads the vetting and management of third-party providers across the region
  • Developing successful client relationships
  • In conjunction with Project Operations team, ensuring that administration of project-related management is of the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Experienced security and risk management professional with previous experience in Nigeria.
  • Experience in journey management planning and delivery.
  • Experience in delivering and managing protective services.
  • Ability to work calmly in high stress environments.
  • Able to use a computer including all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Strong collaborator among all levels of stakeholders.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be responsive to changing requirements and priorities and adaptable to unpredictable circumstances.
  • Able to multi-task and juggle several priorities at once.
  • Able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, and colleagues from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail. Action orientated, able to follow up on feedback.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security analysis and risk assessments of physical security or security operations and planning.
  • Experience using discretion while utilizing company policies to determine appropriate action.
  • Be experienced in basic communications and radio use/procedures.
  • Be able to maintain and manage communication between all parties.
  • Provide risk management planning and performing qualitative risk analysis.
  • Be able to define and estimate project activities and resources.
  • Experience with acquiring, developing, and managing project teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in basic data analysis incl. SQL
