**About the role

Reporting to the Director of Product Documentation, the Lead Technical Writer will create comprehensive, clear, and engaging documentation for Bullhorn's products and services. This role involves closely collaborating with product teams and other departments to ensure all documentation meets the highest standards of accuracy and usability. Additionally, the Lead Technical Writer will oversee and enhance Bullhorn's product documentation operations, streamline documentation processes, develop content strategies, and mentor the technical writing team. The Lead Technical Writer will also contribute directly to complex documentation tasks, ensuring customer and employee success with Bullhorn products.

**A typical day will include...

  • Designing, writing, and editing product documentation, working closely with various departments, including Product, Content Development, and Support, to understand knowledge requirements.
  • Assigning tasks and managing workload distribution among team members to ensure efficiency and balance.
  • Coordinating with various departments to align documentation efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Mentoring the technical writing team to foster collaboration and productivity.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive content strategies, including content reuse and single-sourcing initiatives.
  • Overseeing the onboarding and training new technical writers to ensure they integrate smoothly.
  • Supporting documentation and information development tasks as needed by the business.

**Note: Lead Technical Writers may also manage other technical writers as part of their responsibilities.

**This role is a fit for you if…

  • You have 6-10 years of experience as an effective technical writer.
  • You have advanced skills in authoring management systems like Madcap Flare.
  • You have extensive experience completing complex documentation assignments for both internal business teams and external audiences.
  • You have managed documentation across the software development life cycle and can track it efficiently using tools like Jira.
  • You possess excellent time management skills, can multitask, work independently, and handle ambiguity.
  • You have a strong attention to detail, enjoy organizing information, and have robust problem-solving and analytical skills.

**Bonus points for:

  • Experience with managing content strategy, including single-sourcing and content reuse, across product lines

Experience with the Bullhorn product suite, such as Bullhorn ATS/CRM, Bullhorn for Salesforce, Bullhorn Automation, or Bullhorn Workforce Management
