What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Operations Leader to join our team in the UK. You will play a key role in driving the people operations strategy, overseeing people operation processes and initiatives as well as empowering your team to support Tide’s growth.

You should have a keen eye on HR practices, knowledge of local labour laws as well as optimising and streamlining HR operations, whilst enhancing the overall employee experience. Your role will require strong stakeholder management, as well as fostering alignment and collaboration across all global teams.

As a Lead People Operations you will:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of People Operations policies, programs, and processes that align with company goals and promote a positive and inclusive work environment, with a focus on our UK and European locations.
  • Drive the conception, execution, and oversight of People Operations initiatives for our UK and European locations.
  • Stay up-to-date with laws, employment regulations and HR policies in the UK, as well as other European locations where Tide operates. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that adhere to legal requirements and mitigate compliance risks across the different locations. Provide guidance to employees and managers on policy interpretation and implementation.
  • Collaborate with vendors such as payroll providers and benefits administrators to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, statutory compliance, and benefits management.
  • Be a member of the global and distributed People team. Collaborate with all of Tide’s locations to standardise global payroll and benefits processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and ensure glocalized employee experience
  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to streamline recruitment processes, candidate onboarding, and background checks , while considering local hiring laws and regulations. Provide guidance on local compensation and benefits practices. Enable global talent acquisition initiatives and ensure consistency in recruitment practices across locations.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs globally to enhance the overall employee experience across all locations. Identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and well-being through HR operational initiatives.
  • Use data to advise on decision-making, presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage a team of HR operations professionals across Europe, provide guidance, mentorship, and advise with industry best practices. Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

​​What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Business or HR discipline or an equivalent qualification like CIPD , SHRM-CP or SCP. 8+ years of working experience in HR , with a focus on people operations and working in a global and distributed environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations within the UK and EU.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing HR policies, programs, and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexible, adaptable and excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in using industry tools like Workday, Lattice, Slack and Google Drive.
