About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help craft consistently magical user experiences in financial education & wellness. A critical part of Addition’s mission is to make complex financial topics personal and easy to understand. We’re looking for a designer who is excited to build digital financial planning and education products, leveraging data and insights about an individual to define the best next steps for them. We’re looking for someone who can help define a vision for our learning experiences & design systems, and then work collaboratively with engineering, product and design teams to bring it to life!

You will be expected to have strong technical, problem solving and organizational skills. Senior candidates will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of design systems, user analytics, user engagement, prompt strategies, project management, and leadership skills.

What we're looking for

• 5 or more years of experience in product design (UX & UI design) with a strong portfolio showcasing design process and contributions to products.
• Startup experience - Ideally you’ve built design systems from the ground up at an early stage startup.
• UX focus - Demonstrated ability to design simple solutions to complex user problems.
• Data driven - You have deep experience improving products through research-driven insights and recommendations.
• A bias for action - You move quickly, prioritizing the most impactful work and can clearly articulate tradeoffs.
• Autonomous - You enjoy choosing what you work on and are responsible for maximizing your own impact. You have experience working independently to explore concepts from beginning to end
• Bonus: interest in personal finances!

What you’ll work on

• Set the vision for design at Addition, including building the vision for the organization, design systems & approaches and best practices
• Design and build new products, bringing new experiences to market from wireframes and prototypes to high fidelity visuals
• Oversee the complete design process from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring design solutions are both high-quality and aligned with user needs and business objectives.
• Perform user research and conduct usability tests to gather insights on user behavior and preferences, using these findings to guide design choices.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to implement designs effectively, advocating for optimal user experiences.
• Grasp our unique value proposition/product, understand our clients, content, and context to provide excellent UX, and use user feedback, site analytics, and industry best practices to enhance the experience.
• Design customer-centric experiences with a focus on delivering ideal outcomes, while also offering iterative short-term solutions.
• Produce deliverables including sketches, wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes.

$130,000 - $200,000 a year

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package and incentive stock options.
