Senior Accountant

ID Energy Group is a Spanish company dedicated to the development and construction of renewable energy projects with a special focus on solar PV. The company is in a continuous process of international expansion and has already established itself in more markets: Spain, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Italy, Chile and Romania

ID Energy Group is currently looking for Senior Accountant, reporting to the Accounting & Finance Manager in Budapest.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoices and other documents for accounting purposes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, legislation, and regulations. You will play a crucial part in ERP implementation in Hungary in collaboration with the Hungarian and Spanish teams.

Responsibilities:

-Manage the bookkeeping tasks

-Perform day-to-day and closing activities in cooperation with cross-functional departments

-Active participation in the implementation of ERP, support the local process

-Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts monthly including bank accounts

-Tracking and reporting of metrics on the overall financial accounting process

-Participating in process improvement and standardization projects

-Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly VAT returns

-Assist with the preparation of the yearly corporate tax return

-Organize the archiving of all financial records at year end according to the Hungarian Accounting Act and the relevant tax law

-Complete special projects as requested

-Assist with audit requests

-Support in developing processes and adapt current processes

-Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports

-Develop relationships with external stakeholders e.g., corporates, service providers, consultants, etc.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and has proven experience in the implementation of ERP (experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus) As an ideal candidate, you are a team-player and have an ability to meet priorities and deadlines. Furthermore, you have:

• University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or/and qualification as a chartered accountant
• 4 years + relevant professional experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting practices, processes and systems
• Advanced English (oral and written), Hungarian language knowledge is a must
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Motivation to work in a quickly growing, dynamic and challenging environment
• Experience in energy sector is an advantage
