Global Senior Payroll Specialist

At Thoughtworks, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll team.

As a Global Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for making sure employees are paid accurately and on time, managing payroll functions in agreement with local payroll service providers, validating inputs and final employee paychecks, withholding taxes, and any other deductions, as well as maintaining accurate payroll records for internal and external team, governments, and local compliance.

Job responsibilities

Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

• Upstream, retrieval of data from multiple sources: Such as HR system, Shared Services, local business inputs, equity and mobility or an external source. ● Ensure quality identification of data gaps and human/processing errors. Validation of payroll calculation of wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc. Preparing and processing paychecks ( for mobile employees, especially when gross-ups of tax are involved)
• Downstream, funding, reporting, and query management.
