System Engineer

Our mission is to simplify the deployment process for VM-based applications. The Image Factory, our specialized framework, is designed to create operating system images, including the application layer, for both Linux and Windows environments. We emphasize the immutable pattern, ensuring consistency and reliability in deploying application stacks. Leveraging cutting-edge DevOps tools and drawing on solid experience in system integration, we aim to streamline the deployment lifecycle of our clients.

Your key tasks

• Master the Image Factory framework by guiding application owners in articulating their application requirements using the framework's meta-language.
• Support cloud migration projects, specializing in reverse-engineering live servers to create custom image descriptions, while collaborating with competence centers and application owners to identify and resolve gaps and issues.
• Work closely with competence centers and application owners to thoroughly investigate and understand any discrepancies or problems that arise during the integration process.
• Debug and integrate fixes to resolve issues highlighted by testers and application owners, in a process of consolidation migrated live environments ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.

Requirements

• Expertise in operating systems, with strong proficiency in either Linux or Windows OS, capable of in-depth system configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience in system administration, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of system maintenance, performance tuning, and security best practices.
• Proven track record as a System Integrator or Deployer, with hands-on experience in integrating various software into cohesive systems that meet application requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash for Linux, PowerShell for Windows, Ansible), enabling the automation of deployment and management tasks to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Solid foundation in network fundamentals and security protocols, certificates and secrets management for ensuring secure and efficient system integration and deployment.

• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
