Senior SAP Basis Engineer

• Monitor and maintain SAP systems, including ECC, BW, Java, Solution Manager, and other related components.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements as required.
• Perform pre- and post-step measures for system copies, system refreshes, client copies
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and uptime.
• Troubleshooting of OS, DB, and network technical issues
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide assistance and support to the HR team in the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operation of SAP systems and provide technical expertise for ongoing projects
• Lead the SAP basis team in delivering high-quality services to our customers
• Effectively handle and prioritize incoming tickets and requests using the ServiceNow ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and end-users.
• Stay current with SAP technologies, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with the project team to support the S/4HANA migration initiative, providing assistance in various aspects of the project including planning, execution, testing, data migration, and post-migration activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SAP BASIS Consultant or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and components.
• Hands-on experience with SAP installation, configuration, and administration.
• Strong understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices.
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SAP certification(s) are a plus.
