Senior Frontend Engineer

Private equity funds have long been one of the most attractive investment opportunities, outperforming public market benchmarks, like the S&P 500. But these funds have also been difficult or impossible to access, especially for individuals. Onerous paperwork, high investment minimums (~€10m) and difficulty picking a fund have all been hurdles that kept individuals out. Access has always been dominated by institutions or a select few. Enter Moonfare.

Moonfare is revolutionising access to private equity using a fully digital platform that provides qualified investors access to selectively vetted top-performing funds within 15 minutes and at minimums as low as €50,000. Moonfare provides investors with innovative reporting and the potential to trade their stakes in funds using our Secondary Market. We are introducing never before seen transparency and liquidity to private equity, and with our ongoing expansion across key markets in Europe and Asia, we are enabling investors around the world to reach further.

As the Senior Frontend Engineer at Moonfare, reporting to our Engineering Manager and working with a devoted team of 4 FrontEnd Engineers, you will conceptualize and develop the core platform technology of Moonfares Frontend that will further help us democratize private equity investing for the globe. With a forensic eye and focus on UX and Frontend Performance you will implement impactful changes for our entire investor community. You will develop and maintain the infrastructural backbone of Moonfares tech stack by engineering a state-of-the-art Frontend architecture.

Senior Front End Engineer (m/f/d)

As the Senior Frontend Engineer at Moonfare, reporting to our Engineering Manager and working with a devoted team of 4 FrontEnd Engineers, you will conceptualize and develop the user facing applications that will further help us democratize private equity investing for the globe. With a forensic eye and focus on UX and Frontend Performance you will implement impactful changes for our entire investor community. In this role, you will collaborate with designers to translate their visions into functional features, enhancing the customer experience by continuously implementing new and innovative functionalities.

You will:

• Build and maintain customer-facing features.
• Set engineering standards and implement best practices within the feature team.
• Take ownership of the implementation and support of various features.
• Write tests and ensure code quality, adhering to and developing best practices.
• Craft elegant and readable code that is praised by your peers, while leveraging current trends in software design, architecture, and technology.
• Use world-class development techniques to deliver a high-performance, stable, and auto-scalable production system that provides business value in weeks, not quarters or years.

The next Moonfarian:

• Minimum 5 years of Frontend Engineering experience
• Fluency in Typescript and extensive experience with React
• Ideally has experience with React Native (or willing to learn it)
• Strong awareness of the interplay between JavaScript, HTML & CSS. You can dynamically build, modify and style elements on a page confidently
• Familiarity with Single-Page Applications. Ideally, you have developed internal systems or Web Applications for complex business domains
• You are adaptable and have experience in the design, development, deployment, maintenance and improvement of our software solutions with a DevOps mindset
• Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
• Collaboratively working as part of a multi-disciplined feature team to design and implement best in class software solutions
• Contribute to a culture of learning and growth through mentoring and knowledge sharing
• Strong communication skills in English with the ability to lead team meetings and find creative solutions to complex problems
