Frontend Developer - Ecosystem

Apaleo is the API-first Property Management Platform. Created for accommodation providers it enables hoteliers to streamline daily operations and enrich them with maximum automation. In the Apaleo Store, we have hundreds of 3rd party applications which seamlessly integrate with the Apaleo Platform. An additional, growing product area for Apaleo is low-code / no-code and AI Extensions: lightweight add-ons which add functionalities to the Apaleo platform.

Now we are looking for a Frontend Developer - Ecosystem (f/m/d) to join our team in Munich, Germany to help us build out a new Extension hub and further develop our App Store. This role sits within our customer-facing Platform Success Team, with close cross-team collaboration with our Product Team.

Your mission:

• Design, build-out, and maintain the Extension Hub — a new website where developers will be able to publish low-code / no-code and AI extensions for hotels.
• Maintain and further develop the Apaleo Store — a marketplace for 3rd party applications which are integrated into the Apaleo platform.
• Evaluate and make strategic decisions for AI and low-code/no-code technologies we should support. This includes: testing these technologies; building example hospitality use cases; and writing technical documentation.
• Act as an internal subject matter expert on Apaleo APIs, low-code/no-code and AI technologies, and use cases. Provide the technical knowledge for educational content and Community events for our clients.
• Build and maintain internal solutions for Apaleo’s Platform Success Team. Examples: AI tools for onboarding hotels and developers, productized Google Sheets reports for hotels, etc.
• Be part of our cross-team Frontend Guild

You would be perfect for this role if you have/are:

• 3+ years of experience in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience in React and Next.js
• Experience with State management libraries and Contentful API is highly appreciated
• Experience with Tailwind CSS would be a plus
• Experience in low-code/no-code tools like Make.com, Retool, and Zapier and curiosity to explore new technologies
• Understanding of applying LLMs like ChatGPT and others
• Ability to write clean, scalable and maintainable code
• Passionate about bringing the latest technologies to the hospitality industry
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate cross-team successfully
