WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a candidate who will be responsible for building audience-right media strategies, and creating and leading engaging communications storytelling and experiences to help Nike reach audiences and amplify reach through consumer, product and brand communications.

The candidate would benefit having a passion for sport, an ability to deliver new ways of thinking, and a desire to deepen and evolve Nike's sport-culture relationship with media and consumers. The individual should be proactive, creative, and solutions oriented.

Being culturally curious, sport obsessed, having an eye for design and trends, and an appreciation for art and understanding of popular culture is a must.

Successful candidates will bring a positive, team-oriented approach, be curious, have strong strategic instincts and exceptional relationship skills, and be able to handle ambiguity to work across a global, corporate matrix.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the lead professional, you will partner with consumer product and brand communications team and key business stakeholders to develop and drive integrated communications plans and execution excellence for the right audience.

Establish new relationship and strengthen authentic connections including media, thought leaders to build Nike’s influnce and shift perception.

Push boundary for breakthough storytelling to humanize our brand, drive impact, and build strong local resonates through new channels, content creations and partnership.

Work across Greater China and globe to drive energy and Nike’s narrative through innovation, growth and mission anchored on sport and athletes.

Closely work with core comms function and team across enterprise to intergrate our offense and to support or drive impactful storytelling opportunities.

The individual will also contribute to Geo media events when necessary, as well as support, media training, and staff Nike spokespeople (executives, designers, athletes, catalysts, collaborators, and etc.) where relevant.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As part of Greater China Communications team, You’ll work closely with communications peers at Global and Geo level across the consumer, corporate, marketplace and employee functions, as well as in partnership with Nike’s consumer X FOP, marketing, sports marketing teams as well as key stakeholders across the enterprise.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or above in journalism, PR, English, communications, business, advertising & marketing, or related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years directly or relevant work experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of China media landscape and thorough knowledge of the needs of different media and communication tools for social, digital, print and broadcast.

  • Management skills including high-profile communications, strategic planning, budgeting, creative solutions, and agency management, with additional experience in developing proactive, creative communications, and extensive communications strategies.

  • Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis.

  • Experience initiating and driving the ideation process to contribute meaningful, innovative strategies to the business at concept stage.

  • Proven cultural acuity and ability to work across large, diverse teams.
