Job Summary:

Sr. Data Analyst I manages the indicators placed on violations. This involves ensuring the accurate assignment of indicators by conducting any research (web based, legislative or other) that is needed to complete the assignment of all necessary violation indicators. Analyze the assignment by state to determine if the assignment is accurate. Act as a knowledge resource for processes/procedures and court systems and related activities for state territories with a specialization in the assignment of violation indicators.

Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively with various departments (such as data acquisition/verification, product management, operations support, client services, information technology, accounting, etc.) to ensure service levels are met.

  • Prepare, review and make decisions on such factors as volume and frequency of a violation and other related factors. Analyze and determine production projections for assigned violation indicators and act as project lead for projects and initiatives.

  • MVR violation database clean-up following MVR business and operational standards

  • Coordinate and/or actively participate in the tracking, managing, troubleshooting, resolving issues/problems; update system with corrections as appropriate.

  • Respond to inquiries from outside teams with completeness in a timely manner and act as a point of escalation for issues with violation indicator assignments (i.e. handle questions, production/quality issues, develop solutions, etc.).

  • Document, compile and maintain the state, county and court specific information associated with violation indicator assignments

  • Manage workflow in areas such as customer inquiries and other related areas as it relates to violation indicators

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or related discipline; or equivalent related work experience

  • Knowledge of public record verification, court systems, legislation research, web based research or related industry is preferred.

  • At least three years of professional experience in a customer focused environment involving diagnosing, tracking and resolving problems/issues successfully

  • Strong problem solving skills involving research and information seeking skills; asking relevant questions to draw valid conclusions and identifying impacts of decisions applying sound logic

  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Office suite involving building and enhancing spreadsheets and reports in Excel, Access, and/or a related technology; ability to learn to write basic formulas, queries, filters, and format/create pivot tables; knowledge and understanding of SQL is preferred

  • Creativity, innovation, adaptability

  • Ability to assess, review, analyzes and draws conclusions on data points and metrics to effectively make violation indicator assignments

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workflow and lead multiple assignments/projects with effective time management skills

  • Self-directed and motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Ability to manage the workflow effectiveness, efficiency and results

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development, team collaboration and communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) required and the ability to present information to small groups and develop and communicate action plans and educate others on processes/procedures and related information.
