📱 About Us

We are Mous. People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised and allow them to be their best. So we are building the go-to brand refreshingly focused on product so people can have just that. We have consistently built our in-house expertise and spent millions in research and development on our relentless pursuit to making the best products possible. Over the past ten years we have flipped the tech accessory market on its head, raising the standards and people's expectations. We've made cases that can protect phones dropped from cranes, engineered magnetic accessory ecosystems before MagSafe even launched, partnered with Google to make super thin cases, developed impact materials and waterproof constructions to make backpacks that confidently protect laptops and we're only just getting started!

We're creating products that empower people to be their best, whether they're on a wild adventure or commuting through the city. No matter what your everyday life looks like you can trust our products to remove frustrations, expand your experiences and help you to live without limits.

👨‍💻 About the Role

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Technical Project Manager to be a part of our expanding Product team in the UK! As we grow both steadily and swiftly, we're embarking on numerous new projects. For these ventures, we require an enthusiastic individual who will be at the core of our innovative product development, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly from concept to completion.

👋 About You

As a Technical Project Manager at Mous, your role will be pivotal in coordinating, managing, and overseeing projects, leveraging your technical expertise to understand the engineering challenges and solutions involved. We have exciting projects lined up for you, so you'll need to hit the ground running and quickly familiarise yourself with our core project management and product development processes. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, organisational skills, and project management expertise.

Collaborating with our team of Design Engineers, Industrial Designers and other stakeholders, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment and share your project management and technical knowledge to help us bring our products to life.

🔑 In a nutshell, here are your key responsibilities for this role:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Technical Oversight: Apply your engineering knowledge to understand product development processes and technical requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
  • Timeline Management: Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure costs are controlled.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of project delivery by implementing quality control processes.

📅 Now, here's what we need from you in your first three months with us:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Mous’s project management methodologies and tools.
  • Begin managing ongoing projects, ensuring they stay on track and within budget.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the company.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Get to know our product lines and understand the specific project requirements for each.

🔮 Sounds good? This is our forecast for six months to a year:

  • Further refine your project management skills and adapt them to Mous’s unique environment.
  • Take ownership of larger, more complex projects and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices across the team.
  • Build strong relationships with our product development and production teams, both in the UK and China, to ensure projects transition smoothly from design to production.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Use your excellent analytical and presentation skills to report on project performance and make data-driven decisions.

🤓 It's a super exciting time to join the Mous family, and we're looking for the very best to come aboard our team. Here's what we need from you:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project management with a strong technical background, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment with proven experience of bringing physical products to market.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (ideally Wrike or similar).
  • Experience with product development processes and technical requirements.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes and technical specifications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams.

🙏 We're not asking for the world (we promise!), but here are some nice-to-haves:

  • Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the tech accessories industry.
  • Global Experience: Experience working with international teams and manufacturers.
