Amber Kinetics, Inc. is looking for a talented Director of Business Development to lead the establishment of the Amber Kinetics business development team in the United States. This position will oversee all aspects of Amber Kinetics’ business development, sales strategy, tactical marketing, and advertising. The successful candidate will be the internal strategist and external spokesperson for how the company interfaces with its customers to drive current and future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring business opportunities in the American Territories
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, business potential, and financial investments
  • Lead Amber Kinetics’ direct equipment sales to energy service providers, project developers, large power customers, aggregators, and end users
  • Provide competitive expertise in energy storage technology, markets, and regulatory environments to prioritize sales opportunities
  • Close new business deals by communicating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Establish channel partnerships with energy providers, industrial suppliers, and other companies for indirect sales to end users
  • Responsible for attracting and retaining customers and ensure development of a highly professional relationship to the various decision makers within the customer’s organization
  • Provide competitive expertise on energy storage technology, energy markets, and regulatory environments to prioritize sales opportunities
  • Is expected to be creative in making improvements to existing systems, practices and approaches and will have a hand in influencing productivity issues and working methods to meet customer needs

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, engineering degree a plus.

  • High level of working knowledge of energy storage technologies, plus technical or product experience with energy storage technology.

  • Experience in project development, origination, and power markets.

  • Experience growing market share of an emerging product offering is a plus.

  • Competency in finance, market analysis, selling concepts, and business strategy.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, working in a customer facing capacity.

  • Strong self-starter, self-reliant in market and financial analysis, standard graphics programs, and social media venues.
