The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that Agile and Scrum practices are understood, implemented, and followed within the organization. They serve as a servant leader and coach for the Agile development teams, facilitating the Scrum process and removing any obstacles that may impede the team's progress. The Scrum Master works closely with the Product Owner and the technical team to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives.
- Help define and track team metrics and provide visibility to team performance and progress.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile and Scrum practices, ensuring a deep understanding and adoption of the principles.
- Identify and remove any impediments or roadblocks that may prevent the team from achieving their sprint goals.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure a clear and prioritized backlog, and help facilitate backlog grooming sessions.
- Work with the Data Engineering team to estimate and plan sprint deliverables, and ensure commitments are met.
- Promote continuous improvement within the team and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
- Keep the team focused and motivated, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.
- Certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Agile and Scrum principles and practices.
- Experience in leading and coaching Agile development teams, facilitating ceremonies and driving continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and management.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools such as JIRA.
- Experience with software development practices and technologies is a plus.
