Senior Marketing Communication Specialist

The expected salary range for this position is $90,070.00 - $112,580.00. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview

As Senior Marketing Communications Specialist you will manage the creation and curation of content to nurture churches and supporters to engagement and partnership. You will collaborate with B2B (in our case, ministry-to-ministry) strategists to ensure all messaging is relevant, timely and appropriate for each phase of a stakeholder’s journey toward engagement. You will oversee content for large campaigns, new products, journeys and environments.

What will you do?

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
• Acts as an advocate to raise awareness about the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
• Leads content creation for complex strategic campaigns to generate and nurture major new ministry and supporter relationships with Compassion. This is often accomplished by collaborating with large teams and directing the work of creative contractors.
• Actively builds and nurtures relationships with other departments to ensure successful cooperation when producing major marketing communication campaigns.
• Manages and curates complex, strategic marketing communication content such as printed and digital collateral, ensuring it is relevant, updated and delivered in a format that effectively reaches potential major partnering entities.
• Writes or oversees the writing of emails, cover letters, direct mail pieces, video scripts, articles and other content for major campaigns.
• Applies data on key performance indicators to content, changing messaging or delivery as needed to drive results.
• Casts campaign vision to leadership, team members and other stakeholders, inspires enthusiastic support, and drives towards the successful completion of key campaigns.
• Coaches and provides expertise, potentially overseeing the work of other professionals and support staff in the marketing and communications disciplines.

What do you bring?

• Ten years’ relevant experience working in this or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven prior experience managing and writing complex strategic marketing content that drives action and strengthens brand through effective use of brand voice and brand messaging distinctives.
