Accounting Services Onboarding Associate

The Accounting Services service line partners with middle market companies to provide outsourced accounting functions.

The Onboarding Associate will play a key role in the successful integration of new clients. This role will participate in the onboarding process by performing beginning account reconciliations, coordinating accounting clean up and adjustments, setting up initial documentation and processes, and communicating closely with client and internal team throughout the process. In addition, the onboarding process will often involve system conversions and process implementation. This role will work with a variety of different industries and may require cash to accrual conversion or implementation of GAAP. Strong project management skills are beneficial as this role will work on several clients concurrently.

The candidate should have experience in an accounting department that includes overseeing multiple aspects of the full accounting cycle. Experience in a professional/client service role is preferred. The Onboarding Accounting Services Associate is expected to be able to self manage, have strong project management skills, be able to professional present self to client, possess strong communication skills, simultaneously manage multiple client accounts, deadlines, and teams, and take a lead role in the personal and professional development of other members of the accounting services group.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 2 – 3 years total experience in accounting
• Thorough understanding of the full accounting cycle
• Familiarity of financial statements
• Experience using QuickBooks, Excel and Word is required; Sage/Peachtree, Dynamics, NetSuite beneficial
