Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for an IT Engineering Manager (m/f/d) who is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions and embraces the challenges of the ever-changing web development landscape.

• The product development organization grows with each (new) product. Your task within the management team will be to collaboratively structuring the overall organization for maximum scalability – even across international locations
• Collaboratively structuring the overall organization for maximum scalability - even across international locations
• Create an architecture and application-environment that is cloud based, well tested (automated testing) and secured
• Build and lead teams of software engineers including hiring, coaching, mentoring,and hands-on career development
• Actively advance agile software development practices
• Grow and inspire a shared culture of engineering excellence and knowledge sharing whilst retaining team independence and velocity
• Facilitate collaboration towards a shared domain driven architecture, tackling the challenges of multi-team development with solid architectural principles
• Participate in technology discussions to ensure an ambitious but achievable software development process (CI, testing, operational efficiency etc.)

Requirements

• You are very proficient in developing high-scalable software products
• You have a deep understanding about domain driven software architecture
• You write well architectured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
• You are comfortable working with senior stakeholders (Directors or C-Suite), both technical and non-technical
• You have prior experience leading team(s), in a fast-changing environment
• You think and act like an entrepreneur and take decisions based on important business metrics
• You remain hands on and get involved in code from time to time
• You have successfully built and grown teams of engineers previously
• You are committed to and drive quality, technical excellence and results
• Desirable: Experience in the area of finance/insurance
• Desirable: Experience in building SaaS solutions or SaaS platforms
