BI Data Analyst

The ISO unit of Verisk is looking for a BI Data Analyst to support our large team of actuaries and data analytics experts, who create innovative analytic products based on our unique database of over 21 billion records spanning more than twenty lines of insurance.

In this role, you will be part of a team of data analysts & data engineers who will be responsible for building out the data pipelines and dashboards that facilitate our core process reimagination. The position will have a significant impact on the organization and will provide qualified candidates with a range of opportunities to enhance and extend their skills and gain a deep understanding of the US P&C insurance market, actuarial science, and analytic system development.

The ideal person in this role should have a good combination of an analytical/innovative mindset, technical and visualization aptitude, and communication skills. We are looking for both a more experienced person and a less experienced, who would like to elevate their skills in data visualization and management.

Some anticipated work assignments include:

· Designing, creating, presenting, and publishing dashboards for analytics users

· Building automation scripts that update BI databases

· Writing clear, consistent, and effective documentation

· Construct reference data by connecting information from multiple sources

· Architecting relational databases that are fit to specific purposes

Requirements

• Ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources and translate it into data structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with a technical mindset
• Experience building effective data visualization dashboards using a BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, Sigma, etc.
• Good knowledge of SQL
• A basic understanding of data cloud architecture (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM)
• Experience using Python is a plus
• Familiarity with AGILE project management concepts and associated tools
• Good presentation and public speaking skills with a focus on internal stakeholders are crucial
• Willing to work in a hybrid model from our Cracow Office as a full-time employee and to grow within an insur-tech company
• Fluency in English is required (C1 spoken and written)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
