Electronic Design Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Electronic Design Engineerto join our Engineering team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Manager Electronic & RF Engineering.

About the Role

• Undertake electrical component selection, schematic design updates, PCB layout, and testing with guidance from Senior Engineers.
• Provide support to senior electronic and RF engineers as required.
• Evaluate and test electronic components to specifications and industry standards.
• Completes reports and documentation as directed.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electronic, mechanical and firmware components into a product.
• Complete Printed Circuit board layouts and work with the New Product Introduction team to transfer designs into manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and/or technical requirements.
• Undertake compliance training as directed.
• Any other duties consistent with the position as required.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in (Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronic or Communication Engineering) or equivalent

• 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electronic consumer

• Experience in using schematic and PCB layout CAD tools such as Altium an advantage

• Exposure to developing microcontroller based embedded devices.

• Experience in debugging electronics and PCBA bring-up.

• Experience using electronic measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, audio analysers, power supplies and digital multi-meters.

• Experience in working within Quality frameworks including ISO9001.

• Radio Frequency experience and designing with embedded RF modules is desirable.
