The Event Operations Executive will assist the existing event management team in the smooth running of their events, as well as taking the lead in planning selected events.
What you'll be doing...
The successful candidate will help to grow and continually improve the portfolio of events while providing the best possible experience for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers.
The job will encompass event planning and execution, event content coordination, costs management, staff coordination, liaison with internal and external stakeholders, and associated admin, and will report to Event Director, Ruth Folkard.
Event planning and operations lead for specified events, under the guidance of the event management team.
Duties include:
- Coordinating planning meetings
- Setting of event timeline
- Venue research and confirmation
- Liaison with internal teams such as commercial, editorial and management
- Liaison with external stakeholders as required
- Planning and coordination of content and AV requirement
- Presenter/talent recruitment as required
- Liaison with all suppliers and specification of their services such as AV, venue, presenters, event photographers/videographers, catering, signage and printers
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...
- Perfect role for a hard worker with at least a year’s experience in events, looking to progress a career in events management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Solid admin skills and organisation are a must
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Positive attitude
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
