Digital Solutions team is responsible for wide range of digital payment ecosystem products for all types of partners: issuers, acquirers, merchants, PSP’s and fintech players.

What’s it all about?

Based in Kyiv (Ukraine), the Digital Solutions Director for CISSEE role holder should focus on development and implementation of payment-related solutions for acceptance partners of Visa, including but not limited to acquirers, payments service providers (PsP’s), merchants Wallet providers, FinTech companies, Digital and Cloud solution providers, Mobile Application developers.

This client/partner experience-oriented role will be a combination of solutioning, project implementation and client/partner facing relationship. The role will require a deep working knowledge of eCom payments business, API technology, card processing and tokenization. It will require leading complex solution discussions and will span multiple teams, projects, geographic locations, and time zones. The selected candidate will be recognized as thought leader and authority on eCommerce, Click to Pay and merchant solutions both inside and outside Visa.

The role holder will need to balance a technical fluency of our digital product suite with the commercial reality of our clients. Key is translating our digital roadmap into a compelling strategy that our clients understand, agree and act on. A strong appreciation of the interaction of our solutions and how they impact our clients’ businesses will be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the day to management of Visa digital products. Contribute to the development and delivery of product go to market strategies.
  • Act as a specialized salesperson, directly involved into sell in process with clients. Be responsible for respective area KPIs and targets.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the sub-region in the following areas: eCom, Card-on-file tokenization, Click to Pay. Lead product management and program management activities and evolve product by defining product roadmap and future capabilities. Lead the educational and knowledge sharing stream for the managed areas.
  • Drive Digital VAS across in CIS&SEE: delivering, managing, and supporting sales engagement for a range of VAS services.
  • Define and execute market research and insight to understand and build a comprehensive vision of consumer intent and preference across their digital purchasing behaviors.
  • Take active part in the development, planning and execution of global and regional strategic initiatives, pursuing long-term goals.
  • Work closely with hub and global teams to develop new or enhance existing solutions ensuring that local client needs are heard and considered.
  • Drive commercialization of digital products in CIS&SEE including directly working with market teams and clients to identify leads, supporting client pitches, maintaining pipeline of opportunities, reporting to senior management on uptake and performance, and working with cross-functional teams to implement and promote product.
  • Manage relationship with stakeholders across clients (including executive-level). Develop a strong understanding of their strategy and utilize this to develop a bespoke approach to ensuring participation and compliance with Visa’s digital objectives.
  • Regular cross-functional communications, both formally and informally, to ensure the matrix team is aligned to and actively delivering against our goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Manage financial business cases and revenue streams focusing on VAS revenue, deliver on team KPI’s and personal goals in respective area.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in banking/economics, computer science, technology, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree would be a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital payments development or integration, with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
• A strong understanding of payments transaction processing and authentication landscape focusing on card not present environment.
• Strong domain knowledge & prior implementation experience in Digital Products & payment technology solutions (in at least three of six key areas: eCommerce, Tokenization, API’s, Contactless/EMV Chip/NFC payments, Mobile payments, RTP payments).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally, at varying management level. Board level meetings experience is a plus.
• Ability to transpose business and technical understanding to relevant market inputs with sales and product teams within Visa as well as with external client discussions – leading to commercial & revenue opportunities.
• Development and preparation of product presentations, project reports and management level briefs including the ability to deliver presentations and trainings internally and externally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Creative thinking and innovative solution development, an ability to translate product complexities into practical business solutions appropriate for Visa’s clients and partners.
• Excellent client relationship and management skills. Board level meetings experience is a plus.
• Ownership and driving impact are important aspects to the role, must have the mindset to fully understand and quickly overcome commercial, technical, industry and internal challenges to succeed.
• Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to drive consensus in cross regional and cross functional teams.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to achieve goals with minimal management oversight. Self-directed and motivated.
• Travel: the role holder must have the ability to travel from time to time.
• Language Skills: fluent English, Russian and Ukrainian (verbal and written) are mandatory.
