The Global Markets Division is responsible for Deutsche Bank’s capital markets business, comprising the sales and trading of capital markets products including debt, equity, and other fixed income and currency products. As numerous Regulators across the globe are going through various reporting and regulation changes it would be essential for DB to comply with the changes and ensure APAC are also complying with the changes that is ongoing globally.

Your key responsibilities:

The key responsibility of the role is to manage cash operations for Indonesia.

Candidate is expected to have a deep understanding of the evolving industry trends for core operations products and processes especially for Indonesia. Roles and responsibility involve the following aspects,

  • Managing Cash Operations team in Indonesia and Lead the team in delivering excellent support to business and client.
  • Manage team process and control in compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and grow talent in Cash Operations team. Manage team capacity and talent succession plan.
  • Provide oversight for adequate production controls and escalations, and proactively managing internal and external audits.
  • Proactively driving consistent, standardized, efficient and effective risk and control standards, as well as regulatory compliance
  • Drive issue resolution or options articulation around any problems or challenges that crop up in the course of execution of above initiatives.
  • Executing Cash operations transformation agenda, to build scalable and sustainable operations and achieving cost target. Working with key stakeholders, partners to drive on time and quality execution
  • Drive effective and efficient operating model, includes nearshoring and offshoring.
  • Partner with stakeholders and IT partners to consistently improving our production stabilities.

Your skills and experience:

  • 12+ years’ experience in a financial services organization (preferably a tier 1 corporate bank environment) with experience in Cash and Payments-related Products & Operations
  • Good technical and commercial understanding of the Operations Products as well as Operations processes. Any Cash Operations, Treasuries and Corporate Bank product knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding on Indonesia regulatory reporting requirement
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple teams
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage teams across geography
  • Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate flexibility and take ownership regarding problem solving
  • Ability to understand different business processes across cash functions and locations especially in the Asia Pacific region
  • Ability to work in tight deadlines fast-paced environment.
  • Manage complexity and ambiguity well with proven skills to take leadership in managing risk and control within an operational setup
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership for instigating and executing initiatives
  • Knowledge of automation toolkit and Robotic Process Automation will be a plus
  • Working knowledge of human centered design/ design thinking
