As a Data Consent Program Manager, you'll spearhead the advancement of our data consent initiatives. Your role is pivotal in managing the program's timeline, hitting milestones, and fulfilling objectives, while keeping stakeholders informed about progress and achievements. You'll lead the identification of consent requirements, performing gap analyses and collaborating with teams to bridge these gaps during product integration. Your efforts will be key in optimizing the consent compliance process. You're also responsible for establishing and upholding standardized consent controls throughout the organization, ensuring they're incorporated smoothly into product lifecycles. Moreover, you'll oversee the creation and upkeep of thorough consent documentation, providing the necessary guidance and training to internal teams for proper adherence to consent policies.

About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:

Program Management:

  • Drive the progress of the overall data consent program.
  • Manage the program timeline, ensuring milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on program status and key accomplishments.

Consent Requirement Identification and Gap Analysis:

  • Lead the identification of consent requirements for products and services.
  • Conduct gap analyses against existing products and work closely with business functions to address consent gaps during product integration.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance and streamline the consent compliance process.

Standardized Consent Controls:

  • Implement and maintain standardized consent controls across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate consent controls seamlessly into product development and deployment processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and evolving regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Documentation:

  • Own standard and guideline documentation activities for consent implementation.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for consent processes, controls, and guidelines.

  • Provide training and support to internal teams to ensure understanding and adherence to consent-related policies.

About You
You’re a fit for the role of Data Consent Program Manager if you meet all or most of these criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy or related field.

  • Demonstrated interest in privacy and data protection as evidenced by completion of IAPP courses and/or relevant certifications or technical background (e.g., CIPT, CDPSE, CISSP, CISM).

  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws.

  • Proven experience in program management, with a focus on data privacy and consent.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to conduct thorough gap analyses and develop effective strategies for addressing compliance gaps.

  • Experience in implementing standardized consent controls within a technology-driven environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of data privacy.
