Scope of Position

The Program Director for Health and Wellbeing oversees the successful implementation of community health promotion, prevention and wellness services provided on behalf of OSUWMC to its community center partners. The individual is responsible for managing the relationship between OSUWMC and dedicated community partners, the Hilliard Community Center, known as “The Well” and the Upper Arlington community center known as “The Bob Crane community center.” The Program Director will facilitate the successful alignment of services provided by both partners, will ensure successful program outcomes, and will lead the strategic alignment of current programs and assist with the creation of new programs to support the relationship and all stakeholders. In addition, manage building operations collaborating with tenants, property management, Ambulatory Safety Manager to implement and monitor an effective environment of care program. Attending required OSU Wexner Medical Center building meetings related to environment of care and medical emergency response according to joint commission.

Position Summary

The Program Director for Health and Wellbeing will serve as the primary point of contact and responsible party for ensuring the successful relationship between OSUWMC and the dedicated community centers. Successful relationship management includes the creation of a partnership scorecard, aligning all stakeholders and service providers in the OSUWMC space inside the community center to the achievement of scorecard goals, and establishing regular communication frameworks to promote continuous high performance and improvement of all programs. The individual will also align all current health and wellbeing programs offered by the community centers with current and future OSUWMC programs (i.e. Exercise is Medicine, Living Well, Mindfulness in Motion, Exercise with Purpose), and co-leads the strategic design and implementation of new programs and services to be offered to partner stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree in public health, health education, social work, or related field desired. Relevant clinical degree or training, certified in public health or certified health education specialist desired. 6 years of relevant experience required, 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
