Research Intern

Job Description

We are hiring for Research Interns who could apply perception, control, and IOT techniques to enable new opportunities with infrastructure sensors and connected and autonomous vehicles. You will be learning not only the day-to-day responsibilities of a researcher within our facility but will be tasked with completing a project that directly supports the goals of the Nissan-Mitsubishi-Renault Alliance.

You will get a chance to work on various autonomous and robotics technologies including but not limited to:

• Designing and developing hardware and software in the car to act as a gateway between CAN and an off-board cloud-based Autonomous Drive system.
• Develop calibration routines and localization for multiple Infrastructure LiDAR and cameras.
• Control the vehicle movement from one infrastructure sensor FoV to another sensor FoV (overlapping)
• Develop a web-based system to teleoperate vehicles to tight spaces like parking spots using vehicle sensors and infrastructure cameras.

During your internship, you will be working with Autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles, vehicle CAN interfaces, sensors like LiDAR and camera, IOT devices and related software.
