Scope of Role

Reporting to our Client Services Manager, in this role, we are looking for a enthusiastic techie to join our Customer Success Team. You’ll do a lot of fun technical learning with Linux, Windows, MySQL/MariaDB, AWS and Opsview Monitor and Opsview Cloud, ready to provide technical support to our customers.

Your primary role will be to deliver sound technical advice to customers promptly. You will have Linux knowledge with MySQL/MariaDB. You will work within a global team to provide a high level of service to both external and internal customers and will relish the opportunity to work with the latest technologies.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will:

You will work in our Manila office, operating a staggered day shift pattern over a 7 day period when up to speed, with an on call rota, one weekend in four.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical support issues with Opsview Monitor and Linux
  • Work directly with customers by phone and email/ticketing system
  • Provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests regarding products and services with accuracy and speed.
  • Advocate for our internal processes to ensure we always deliver a high quality and efficient service to our customers
  • Work collaboratively to build and maintain productive working relationships with Customer Support Team members and other departments, to ensure customer needs are met and issues are resolved
  • Demonstrate your willingness to contribute directly and indirectly to other tasks within Customer Success

You will have:

  • 3+ years Linux experience in CentOS, RedHat, Debian or Ubuntu
  • 3+ years of experience with querying databases, e.g. MySQL / MariaDB
  • Composed using with the Linux command line, installing software
  • An interest in InfluxDB, Ansible, AWS Certifications (Desirable)
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python or Perl (Desirable)
  • Knowledge in database tuning and troubleshooting (Desirable)
