Scope of Role

This is an interim role to manage the move of remaining content from our former intranet housed on Confluence to our exciting, new social platform powered by Workvivo.

Reporting to our internal communications manager, you will work with team members globally to assess what content needs to be freshened up and moved to the new intranet – and what needs to be archived. You will then create visually appealing spaces – and update pages with snappy copy – so sound writing experience is important.

During project downtime, you will also support on delivering content suitable for a global audience across channels including email, weekly newsletter and the intranet

As an Internal Communications and Intranet Officer, you will:

  • Manage the project in a timely and structured fashion, including stakeholder liaison
  • Work with teams to identify content owners and info that needs migrating
  • Review and give expert advice on streamlining info into compelling content based on best practice
  • Create intranet spaces and update existing ones into digestible content that’s easy to navigate
  • Provide hands-on support and site administration
  • Produce clear content guidelines to support publishers (images, text, colours, fonts, tone of voice, accessibility best practice)
  • Provide training where necessary

You will have:

  • Experience in a communications role
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
  • A strong eye for design and attention to detail
  • Confidence to communicate and create relationships with colleagues up to senior leader level
  • Sound IT skills including Office 365
  • An interest in the world of internal communications
  • Intranet and content management system experience
  • Experience working on new intranet implementations
  • Sound project management skills
  • Experience of using Workvivo platform or similar platforms is desirable .
